Rewinding to the very first My Favorite Things Party, which eventually led me to launching Debbee’s Buzz.
The party presented an opportunity to unleash my inner maker; whether it was creating invitations, decorations, food or favors.

Today, I’m going to show you how to make an Alice in Wonderland cards and teapot centerpiece.
During Alice’s trial at the end of the story, the Queen pronounces, “Off with her head!” Alice responds, “Who cares for you? You’re nothing but a pack of cards!”
At that, an entire pack of cards rises into the air, and comes flying down and all around. Alice then awakens to find her head in her sister’s lap, who is brushing dead leaves from her face.
The Alice in Wonderland, Unbirthday Party project was inspired by this scene and a pin found on Pinterest.
But, no matter how much I clicked and searched online, I couldn’t find a how-to or tutorial on creating a cards and teapot centerpiece. So, with a little trial and error, I came up with my own method.

As part of the July Pinterest Challenge, I’m going to show you how easy and inexpensive it is to make a vintage china tier server.
I made two plate and teacup stands for the Alice in Wonderland, Unbirthday Party. Each held a variety of homemade finger sandwiches, and were set up on either end of a buffet table in the dining room.
For the June challenge, I shared How to Make Whimsical Teacup Fascinators. A more complicated, time-consuming but rewarding craft project for the same event.

To decorate for the rest of the summer season, I’ve created a refreshing garden wreath featuring watermelon and strawberries.
A large ant has invaded the garden and taken up residence on the large central leaf!
Not to worry, he’s harmless, and adds some humor to the scene. The ant is the reason I’ve named the garden wreath, Don’t Bug Me.
No DIY instructions to bore you with today. I’ve already provided how-to instructions on making a mesh wreath numerous times before. Check out Projects: Wreaths for tutorial posts and other decorative inspiration to make your own.

As part of the June Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop, I am excited to show you the teacup fascinators I made as favors for the Alice in Wonderland, Unbirthday Party.
The theme event was the 4th annual My Favorite Things Party I’ve hosted.
I made a total of 18 fascinators in three different designs (teacup, mini Mad Hatter and floral) — in a variety of colors. They were the primary favor for guests.
