DIY Nautical Sailboat Wreath: Raise Anchor

DIY Nautical Sailboat Wreath: Raise Anchor

Over the weekend, I created a nautical sailboat wreath while enjoying lovely summer weather out on the porch.

Boy, it sure felt good to get crafting again! Since Hand Painted, Wedding Champagne Flutes, I just haven’t had a moment to spare.

First, there was my niece’s late April wedding in Charleston, SC. That was immediately followed by my dad’s health crisis in Florida, hospice care, passing, and Celebration of Life services back here in Pittsburgh.

Shortly after, hubby and I headed for our nearly three-week bucket list trip to Provocative Peru.

My crafting plans and blog calendar pretty much came to a halt.

If you’d like to make your own nautical sailboat wreath, I’ve included step-by-step instructions below.

Patriotic July Fourth Table & Centerpiece

Patriotic July Fourth Table & Centerpiece

Just in time for fireworks, I’ve set a patriotic July Fourth table on the covered back porch.

It’s good to bee back in the country to celebrate our nation’s birthday. Hubby and I have recently returned from a nearly three-week vacation in South America. It was a bucket list, post-retirement trip that was about two years in the making.

I’ve been on a blogging break since about the middle of May, after my dad went into hospice and passed in Florida. That was immediately after my niece’s wedding in Charleston (see Hand Painted, Wedding Champagne Flutes).

Although it’s been an extremely hectic two months, the vacation turned out to be good timing for processing my grief and beginning the healing process. We left for Peru and Ecuador, less than a week after my mom went back home. Dad would have absolutely loved all the birds and wildlife we saw up close and personal in the Galapagos Islands.

But, now it’s time to try to get back to normal routines.

DIY Ladybug Mesh Wreath Welcomes Spring

DIY Ladybug Mesh Wreath Welcomes Spring

Recently, while reorganizing my craft stash, I realized I had enough leftover ribbons and other materials to create a new version of last year’s ladybug mesh wreath.

In Ladybug Wreath For New, Existing Homes Bridges Seasons, I actually shared two I had made. One was for dear sister-in-law (SIL) to decorated the door of her lovely new home in Northern Virginia.

Shortly thereafter, one of my longtime followers ordered a different version of the ladybug mesh wreath for her home in Atlanta.

Even after creating the two large wreaths, I still had quite a bit of the two styles of ladybug print ribbon leftover. Each came mailorder in big, ten-yard rolls. I also found an extra wreath form, and several yards of complimentary ribbon and materials to create a new ladybug mesh wreath. All that was needed was a roll of mesh, a large sunflower and a ladybug embellishment.

And, it was time to start restocking my Etsy shop, DebbeesBuzzBoutique with a new wreath for spring. Let me show you how it turned out and to style your own seasonal decor.

Easter Home Decor Tour

Easter Home Decor Tour

Forsythia, daffodils and hyacinth are starting to bloom in Pittsburgh and it’s finally starting to really feel like spring. Hurrah! A perfect time to take you on an Easter home decor tour.

Last year, Easter came so early, I never had a chance to share any of my holiday and seasonal decor. In fact, other than setting tables and hanging wreaths, I never pulled out any of the rabbits, chicks, eggs and florals that usually populate the house.

Today, I’m delighted to take part in the Hop into Easter blog hop. Hosted by Amber of Follow the Yellow Brick Home, there’s so much to see and be inspired by! You’re sure to find at least an idea or two to incorporate into your own Easter home decor and tables.

Welcome to Debbee’s Buzz for those dropping by from Carol’s How to Use Bunnies post at Bluesky at Home. And to my regular followers, thank you for once again taking the time to visit. I have so much stuff, it’s going to be impossible to cover it all in just one post! So, join me for a few highlights of my Easter home decor and table settings.

Browsing for Easter & Spring Decor Ideas

Browsing for Easter & Spring Decor Ideas

Right before heading out-of-town for an extended St. Patrick’s Day weekend, I visited a couple favorite local places to see what’s new in spring decor.

If you are a regular reader of Debbee’s Buzz, you know I already have a ton of holiday and seasonal decor and tableware.

Not only is storage space in critical supply, but so is display space. I’m nearly at the point that if I buy or make something, well then something else really needs to bee parted with. Easier than it sounds!

I came home from the stores empty handed; deciding to weigh on a few items while on the car ride to and from NYC and Philadelphia.

But, I thought you might like to do a little virtual shopping with me; for your own Easter and spring decor ideas and inspiration.
